Pre-fab box kits leave awkward dead space around your walls and rarely fit a sloped basement ceiling or angled bathroom alcove. We build indoor saunas the way a finish carpenter builds cabinetry—scribed wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling. We frame the stud walls, hang heavy tempered glass doors, coordinate the 240V heater circuit, and build sturdy two-tier floating benches strong enough to stretch out on.
Putting a 195°F steam room inside a finished house means moisture control has to be dead-on. We pack the walls and ceiling with high-density Rockwool insulation and tape every seam with heavy-gauge aluminum foil vapor barrier so zero heat or steam leaks into your drywall. Over that, we blind-nail kiln-dried Clear Western Red Cedar tongue-and-groove boards so you never lean back against a scorching screw head.

A sauna without airflow feels suffocating. We cut passive intake vents right below the heater and exhaust vents on the opposite wall so fresh oxygen circulates continuously.

Most residential electric sauna heaters (4.5kW to 9.0kW) need a dedicated 220V–240V, 30-amp to 40-amp circuit wired cleanly from your panel. We work directly with licensed local electricians so the conduit and controls are tucked neatly inside the framing before the cedar goes up.
Not when it's sealed right. A traditional Finnish sauna runs much drier than a steam shower, and we wrap the entire stud cavity in R-13/R-19 Rockwool insulation behind a taped aluminum foil vapor barrier. That keeps heat and steam locked inside the cedar room and away from your framing and drywall.
Western Red Cedar has a low density that stays comfortable against bare skin even when the room is pushing 195°F, and it doesn't pitch sap or warp when you ladle water on the rocks. Plus, nothing beats the smell of real cedar when the stove heats up.
